Office Assistant

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, this role aims to provide administrative and clerical support.  Office hours are 9:00 – 12:30 Monday through Friday.  Hours and days are flexible.  


Qualifications:  

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office  

  • Good interpersonal skills  

  • Ability to work as a team member  

  • Ability to pass background and fingerprint checks  

  • 2-3 years office experience 

  • Experience in Data Entry a plus  

  • Bi-lingual a plus  

  • Training provided  

Duties include:  

  • Data Entry   

  • Maintain client and personnel confidentiality  

  • Perform client intake and processing  

  • Answer phone calls

  • Other tasks as appropriate 

Technical Specialist

St Vincent de Paul uses a variety of technology to help us help others.  In particular, we need volunteers to be available approximately 5 hours per week to assist in these areas:  

  • Provide Windows 11 and Office Applications maintenance and updates on 7 pc’s  

  • Provide support for printer issues  

  • Create and update information on our website  

  • Create entries on our Facebook page and other social media  

  • Provide support for our security system

Marketing and Communications Specialist

Marketing and Communication Specialists are responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement. They oversee content creation, manage digital campaigns, and ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.


Key Activities:

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging content for websites, social media, and email campaigns.

  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute marketing campaigns to boost brand visibility and customer engagement.

  • Social Media Management: Manage and grow the organization’s social media presence, including content posting and performance analysis.

  • Reporting: Track and analyze campaign performance using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Community Outreach Representative

Community Outreach Representatives are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with local communities, organizations, and stakeholders. They work to raise awareness about the organization's initiatives, promote programs, and engage with diverse groups to support community engagement and growth.


Key Activities:

  • Community Engagement: Develop and nurture relationships with local organizations, leaders, and residents to foster community involvement.

  • Event Coordination: Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and outreach programs to promote the organization’s mission.

  • Program Promotion: Share information about available programs and services to target communities through presentations, meetings, and digital platforms.

  • Advocacy: Represent the organization at community meetings, advocating for relevant causes and initiatives.

  • Feedback Collection: Gather community feedback to assess needs and improve outreach strategies and services.

Warehouse Associate

Warehouse Associates  are responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, organizing, and shipping products. They ensure efficient inventory management, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and assist with order fulfillment to meet customer needs.


Key Activities:

  • Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and organize products, ensuring accurate stock levels and proper storage.

  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to customer orders and company guidelines.

  • Shipping & Receiving: Process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.

  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners.

  • Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by following safety protocols and company standards.

Inventory Coordinator

Inventory Coordinators are responsible for overseeing the organization, tracking, and management of donated goods. They ensure that inventory levels are maintained, donations are properly processed, and items are efficiently distributed to meet community needs. The role involves working closely with volunteers, donors, and staff to ensure smooth operations and accurate inventory control.


Key Activities:

  • Donation Management: Oversee the receipt, sorting, and categorization of donated items for both the thrift store and food pantry, ensuring quality control and proper storage.

  • Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels for store merchandise.

  • Stock Organization: Ensure that inventory is organized and displayed in the thrift store to make items easily accessible to customers.

Thrift Store Assistant

Thrift Store Assistants support the daily operations of the charity’s thrift store by assisting with inventory management, customer service, and donation processing. This role helps ensure the store runs smoothly, contributes to a positive shopping experience for customers, and supports the mission of the organization through the sale of donated goods.


Key Activities:

  • Donation Processing: Receive, sort, and categorize donated items, ensuring they are clean, in good condition, and appropriately priced for resale.

  • Customer Service: Assist customers with inquiries, provide product recommendations, and ensure a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the store.

  • Merchandising: Organize and display merchandise on shelves, racks, and in store windows to create an attractive shopping environment and encourage sales.

  • Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, process transactions, and handle cash or credit payments accurately.

  • Stock Organization: Maintain inventory in the store, restock shelves, and keep the store organized and tidy throughout the day.

  • Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is clean, safe, and well-maintained, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
